Students are supported through targeted guidance counseling, SAT preparation, college advisement, and career exploration opportunities starting in junior year. From resume-building workshops to college application bootcamps, our readiness programs ensure students are equipped for the world of tomorrow!
AP English Literature & Composition
This course invites students to dive into challenging literary works across genres, cultures, and historical periods. Students analyze literary elements, interpret meaning, and write critically about texts from authors such as Shakespeare, Morrison, and Kafka. Rigorous writing assignments and class discussions sharpen literary analysis and interpretation skills. This course prepares students to take the AP exam and succeed in college-level English courses.
AP English Language & Composition
This course emphasizes rhetorical strategies, persuasive writing, and the analysis of nonfiction texts. Students study speeches, essays, journalism, and political writing from a diverse range of voices and perspectives. Through structured argumentation and synthesis essays, students develop clear and compelling writing. The course prepares students for the AP exam and collegiate academic discourse.
AP Spanish Language & Culture
This college-level course strengthens Spanish fluency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students engage with authentic texts, films, and cultural materials from across the Spanish-speaking world. They develop persuasive and interpretive writing skills and participate in structured conversations and presentations. The course prepares students for the AP exam and real-world bilingual communication.
AP World History
This course explores global patterns, interactions, and transformations from 1200 CE to the present. Students analyze major civilizations, belief systems, political revolutions, and economic developments across regions. Emphasis is placed on comparative analysis, continuity and change, and document-based writing. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of world history and are prepared for the AP exam.
AP U.S. History
This course provides an in-depth study of American history from pre-Columbian societies to the present day. Students analyze key documents, historical arguments, and the development of U.S. institutions and identity. Through essays, primary source analysis, and debates, students build strong historical thinking skills. The course culminates in the AP exam and lays the foundation for college-level U.S. history study.
AP Environmental Science
This interdisciplinary course examines the relationships between humans and the natural environment. Topics include ecosystems, biodiversity, resource use, pollution, and climate change. Students engage in labs, simulations, and case studies to explore environmental problems and propose solutions. The course prepares students for the AP exam and fosters environmental literacy.
AP Pre-Calculus
This advanced math course develops a strong foundation in functions, trigonometry, and modeling that prepares students for calculus. Students explore polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and rational functions through real-world applications. Emphasis is placed on graphical analysis, problem solving, and preparing for STEM-related college courses. The course equips students to take the AP Pre-Calculus exam and succeed in future math coursework.
